THE FACULTY

THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF WARMIA AND MAZURY IN OLSZTYN was launched in 2007 and its English Division 3 years later. Currently, it is the most internationalized faculty at the University with over 300 foreign students from more than 30 countries. The School of Medicine offers students a 6-year M.D. teaching programme focused on an individual approach and hands-on experience, in a very friendly, safe and stimulating study environment. It also allows students to participate in various international study programmes and internships.

THE UNIVERSITY

THE UNIVERSITY OF WARMIA AND MAZURY IN OLSZTYN (UWM) is a Public University, founded on September 1st, 1999, with its Faculty of Medical Sciences launched in 2007. It is famous for having the most beautiful campus in Europe. In 2022, in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact ranking, the UWM was chosen as one of the top Universities in Poland in terms of good health and well-being, the quality of life, climate action and partnership for goals. The Student's Parliament of the Republic of Poland has awarded the UWM the title of a student-friendly university twice already.

OLSZTYN is located in the northern part of Poland, just 2-hours away from the capital - Warsaw as well as near to Gdańsk, it is easily accessible from both Warsaw airports, and Gdańsk airport. It is a medium-size city (with a population of approx. 170,000), situated in the heart of the Thousand Lakes Region, famous for having the most beautiful campus in Europe. It offers a very safe, comfortable, stimulating and friendly environment to study.
